Does anyone happen to khave a good link where I can learn about the technical process of deriving a bitcoin address from the pub/priv key combination that form the wallet/account?

If you want to go in detail how bitcoin works, I would recommend you read the book “Mastering Bitcoin” by Andreas M. Antonopoulos. Its a very technical book, and it will make you the true bitcoin master for sure.

I have seen actually, there is a reasonably good explanation in the privacy coin course in the Elliptical Curve Cryptography section. It’s about as good of a general summary as I have found. You need to limber up your brain a little first though and be prepared to do some extra reading!
