Should we fork Bitcoin for learning purposes?

It would be cool to fork Bitcoin and change the consensus rules to learn more about Bitcoin.
instead of a new course, having a section of a new project. Ivan was talking about this idea (while joking) on Good Morning Crypto (27-01-2020)

Bitcoin Black - no milk or sugar involved :smile:

we could learn and understand the mining process better, the consensus rules, understanding the protocol.

any thoughts?

Ethereum programming would be the best course.
You will learn to program erc20 tokens wich is not that hard.
