  3. Its evident that people can’t use privacy or won’t use privacy, so you have to infiltrate their behavior and make them use it without knowing they are using it; PRIVACY that is. This is what is understood when Tari is a trojan horse comes about.
  4. If an artist, musician, content creator, or any copyright holders uses Tari, they can truly own and pass on the digital rights to their work in a secret way. The ownership is truly theirs to hold and control.

  1. The way Tari is connected to Monero is Tari is merge mined side chain with Monero. Fluffypony (Riccardo Spagni) was the lead maintainer and is still a maintainer for Monero. Riccardo is the founder of Tari along with two parnters Naveen Jain and Dan Teree.

  2. Digital assets are things that ppl can buy and earn but exist entirely in digital form for their life cycle. Eg. loyalty points, in game currencies, digital collectibles, STO’s (security tokens) and software licences. Digital rights management (DRM) are related to digital assets because they overlap in areas such as on line books, on line games etc, you buy them, you own them, yet if the company goes under you lose your access. In this decentralized capacity you would be able to continue use of your bought and paid for digital property.

  3. Riccardo says Tari is a “privacy trojan horse” because most ppl don’t realize they need privacy. You basically have to fool them into accepting the attributes before ppl realize the need for it. Tari does this. It gives them privacy without them really knowing about it.

  4. The incentive for copyright holders (like movie studios) to use Tari is Tari can enforce conditions/rules for copy rights like commissions for use and or trades, anonymity in regards to commissions /royalties etc. Gives them privacy, so ppl don’t get offended by how much their getting and/or they wouldn’t have to pay taxes on their rake to name a couple.

The Tari tech is built as a sidechain for Monero which would by transitive association of tech platforms make this entirely privacy based. This brings in non-crypto people into the space through digital assets in a privacy first way.

  4. What is the incentive for copyright holders (like movie studios) to use Tari?
Tari could easily be used to help control assets to allow viewing based on ownership/rental, provide that user privacy and allow for the DRM owner to receive payments.

Tari connects to Monero by merge mined side chain.

Digital assets and their relation to DRM is that consumers can use it

Tari is a privacy Trojan Horse in that it is a generalized asset that gives safe transfers of assets

Tari incentive benefit is that it gives a consensus in merge mining.

  • The most active Monero developer is working on Tari.
  • Monero is the base currency for Tari’s operations. With Tari you get to enjoy the privacy benefits of Monero by enjoying Tari’s services and not by actively looking for Monero’s privacy benefits.
  1. What are ‘digital assets’, and how are they related to ‘DRM’?
  • They are assets bought and paid for that don’t have any physical form but occupy the digital space in binary form. The purpose of DRM is to prevent unauthorised redistribution of digital media and restrict the ways consumers can copy content they’ve purchased.
  1. Riccardo says Tari is ‘a privacy trojan horse’. Explain. (hint: 10:45)
  • Privacy to a normal person who has not yet gotten attacked is not something they care about until it happens to them. Monero is a very private way of sending and receiving cryptocurrency when compared to bitcoin but people don’t care about this so Tari aims to trick people into using more private ways of handling digital assets by merging with Monero for their own benefit.
  1. What is the incentive for copyright holders (like movie studios) to use Tari?
  • Privacy of who they hold these rights with and how they compensate them is kept hidden from the public and is untraceable.

  2. What are ‘digital assets’, and how are they related to ‘DRM’? “Digital assets are things people can buy or earn, but exists entirely in digital form for their lifecycle… I.e. loyalty points, in game currencies, collectables, STO’s, software Licenses”. Digital resource management is more viable.
  3. Riccardo says Tari is ‘a privacy trojan horse’. Explain. (hint: 10:45) Tari and Monero offer complementary benefits and to each other and this symbiotic relationship results in attracting potential users who may not necessarily have a desire for a privacy coin, but appreciate other features, thereby getting privacy by default. Tari and Monero can grow and develop in ways they could not alone, including in finances and research.
  4. What is the incentive for copyright holders (like movie studios) to use Tari? Copyright holders and digital asset creators would have the ability to program their non-fungible tokens on an open source Tari blockchain trusting that their rules or parameters and conditions will be enforced.

He means, that the goal is to use Tari not because of it’s privacy feature in the first place. More over people an companies will use it, because of some other things, but with time they will notice, how got the privacy is and won’t miss it. Same like with Apple.

  4. What is the incentive for copyright holders (like movie studios) to use Tari? Copyright holders don’t want to expose how much money they made to avoid paying taxes.

    Some things shouldn’t be private.
