Greatings to all students and @ivan @filip and all @moderators :wave:

I didn’t find a similar topic and hope to have started it at the correct place.
As i saw today we had an anouncement that the old domain https://forum.toshitimes.com will change to https://forumtest.ivanontech.com and for me it is working on most browsers i work to test things (google, mozilla, opera, avast, BRAVE no.1 :wink: :sweat_smile: )
I thing it is a good move but i have some questions- suggestions.

  1. Is the new forum integrated to the academy homepage, so we don’t need to log in as previous with toshitimes.forum? Or do we keep the old passwords for the new domain?
  2. Will the old domain be disactivated when the full switching is finished?
  3. Also at all courses there must be changed the old one by the new one directory domain, because some may not see the change or don’t know about it and new students may be frustrated.

Things go as follow.

Everything will stay exactly the same. Password won’t change and the old domain redirects to the new one. We will be changing all the links in the lectures to the new domain, even though all old links are still usable as they redirect to the new domain.

The only issue could be for users who saved their password in the browser. The password will not be saved in the right page because the url changed.
