Casa Node vs Raspberry Pi

Hey there folks and peeps,

lately I discovered some YT testing the Casa Node. But if you look at the description, Casa Node is also running on an Raspberry Pi 3+, which is about 35$… So did you heard of any experience where the Casa Node is better than a DIY Lightning Node?
I can build the same thing for 150$…

Casa Node is for people that don’t want to deal with the installation themselves and don’t want to wait for the node to sync (Casa pre-syncs everything). But of course, everything is cheaper to do from scratch, some people don’t want to mess around with hardware and don’t enjoy the headache of building everything from scratch while others like it

MynodeBTC is amazing, It’s an open source image to flash your SDcard of the raspberry pi. it’s really amazing. you can also buy everything on there website, but it’s much cheaper to buy the parts yourself. You can also use Virtual box, then it doesn’t cost you anything. You can sync everything from scratch, or use quicksync to download torrent style a pre validated part of Bitcoin blockchain (only a part).

It includes a Bitcoin full node, Lightning wallet, Electrum Server, wirlpool, Ride the Lightning, btcpay server, joinmarket,…
